Rethinking Ophthalmology Residency Didactics
The ACGME requires:
“Residents must be educated in basic and clinical sciences through a structured and regularly-scheduled series of interactive sessions directed by faculty members (in-person, virtual, synchronous, or asynchronous)” that “must include a minimum of 360 hours during the PGY-2-4.”
However, lectures alone do not result in durable learning.
